    Now switch on flame and simmer milk for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add cardamom and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Now add poha / flattened rice and mix well. Cook for 6 - 7 minutes under medium flame, we need to cook flattened rice.
  8. Now add sugar + dry fruits and cook for 3-4 minutes under medium flame.
  9. Simmer for 2 minutes under low flame. Consistency should be on the thinner side as after cooling flattened rice will soak milk and turn thick.
  10. Now Poha Kheer is ready.
  11. Serve after 1 - 2 hour, garnish with cashews or any dry fruits.
  12. Either serve chilled or at room temperature.
